What a great time we've have since sending out the last newsletter. We've met so many of you during the Mind Your Brain tour in March.

Over 175,000 people have attended Terry Small's seminars worldwide and now that number includes 800+ Kiwis! The Mind Your Brain tour was fantastic and the good news is that Terry is very keen to return to NZ in a few years so watch out for that.
• "I found the seminar liberating and inspiring" • "I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the weekend's conference" • "It was really very good"

The Mind Your Brain tour was brought to you by the Firelight Foundation
 | which is the not for profit wing of LearnEX. The Firelight Foundation exists to bring quality educational speakers like Terry out to NZ to inspire ordinary people like you and me!
We are in the process of organising another speaker so remember to keep an eye out on our events page for further information.
In this issue: Article of the month, New Products, Important Announcements, FREE freight offer, Upcoming Events and Specials
Article of the Month: Speaking of the brain, I recently read an article which had some interesting points to make about the benefits of exercise on children. Among other things it concludes: "40 minutes a day of aerobic exercise improved executive function—-that aspect of intelligence that helps us pay attention, plan, and resist distractions"
There is a catch regarding the exercise, however. Click here to find out what it is and to read the rest of the article
New Products:
We have been very busy sourcing some new products over the last few months. Here is a small selection of new products we have in stock or on the way. (And there are more to come in next month's newsletter!)
If you know of a great product, you think we should carry, tell us about it. Chances are we will think it's great too!
Exploring Creation with Anatomy Yes, it's finally back from the printer! For those who are homeschooling primary aged children from a Christian perspective, you will be pleased to know that the 6th
Apologia Elementary book: Exploring Creation with Anatomy book is now in stock with our supplier and will be here in NZ very soon. Our latest shipment has been delayed a little as we were absolutely determined to make sure this book was on board! If you wish, you can pre-order a copy as these will sell out. Now I Love Music Are your children/students lacking motivation? This is a new publication which has a revolutionary and yet deceptively simple approach to practice through the use of inspirational stories rather
than external rewards (which are now being shown by research as being demotivating over time.) Feedback from teachers and parents is that the principles can equally apply to many areas of life; not just music.

Important Announcements: Math U See and LearnEX are about to become two separate companies. We will still sell both Math U See items and LearnEX items but as of mid April, orders will no longer be able to be combined as MUS will be shipped from a separate location.
To compensate for this, however, we have a great offer:
ALL ORDERS PLACED BETWEEN NOW AND THE 10th MAY WILL BE FREIGHT FREE!
This offer applies to all LearnEX orders, all MUS orders and all combined orders. No exceptions. I cannot recall the last time we offered freight free across the board so better make the most of it while you can! Feel free to pass this offer on to anyone you know may be interested.
Our unsophisticated online ordering system doesn't seem to be able to cope with a freight free option but never fear: although it will charge freight automatically, we will manually refund the freight cost back to your account.
Also, in order to receive your order freight free, you do need to mention this offer when placing your order. Do so in the comments field at the end of the ordering procedure.
Hurry, remember this offer closes midnight on the 10 May.
Math U See News Math U See now has a great new updated website with online video samples, scope and sequence, user forum, blog and they are also on Facebook! http://www.mathusee.com/
If you haven't heard of Math U See or you have but are wondering what all the fuss is about, you can request for a FREE DVD to be sent to you. As we are not into wastage around here, we do ask that you return it when you are finished with it but you can have it for as long as you need to in the meantime.

We have taken on a new staff member (recession: what recession?) so should be able to be more efficient in processing orders. Once she settles in, we'll introduce her.
If you are homeschooling and want us to get in anything in particular for you when the supervisory allowance arrives, just let us know. We can set aside your order and have it ready to go when the money comes through.
We don't sell Sonlight but we do sell many of their recommended resources or can source them for you.
Our advice is free and we also offer a 30 day money back 'change your mind' guarantee in case you take a look at purchase and decide it's not what you want after all (a few conditions apply - but not many!)
